Android Central Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy Avant SM-G386T. Is this phone just not going to be able to work with my new Ring doorbell? Shall I just return the Ring? Or is there some sort of workaround? I'm not in a position to replace my phone right now. I do have a Fire 7 tablet on the way...perhaps it will work with that?

That Samsung device is an old device running a very old version of Android (in the fast-moving world of mobile devices). No, it won't work with the Ring app with the Samsung-provided version of Android. Ring MAY work with the Kindle Fire, unless it's a used older version.

Drat...LOVE my 5 year old phone! The Kindle Fire will be new...bought it on Amazon Prime day and waiting for it to arrive. If it doesn't work with Ring, I may as well return the Ring. Thanks for you answer!
