Messages for Web audio notification

[Android Central Question]

Google message for web has an option to turn off audio notifications, but it doesn't seem to be worked

In that, I've toggled that switch off, but the notification still makes noise, unless I turn off notifications completely, in which case I lose the pop-up notification also.

Any help on this?
