Android Central Question

My Samsung Galaxy s9 locked up when i restarted it, and instead of the fingerprint i have set for security, it is asking for a password.

The password for the associated Google account won't work, nor will every other code i can come up with. I had only had fingerprint security set for 2 days. I WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES NOT TO LOSE MY DATA IN A FACTORY RESET (other than trust Tenorshare's software fix - way hinky). No one seems to have ever seen this happen before.
I did not have Find my Phone or Find my Android or Android Device Manager installed (i will after this is resolved though!)
HELPPPPP!!!!

Welcome to Android Central! It is common for Android devices to ask the user for the backup PIN/password/pattern periodically, even if the fingerprint sensor is working fine. This is for increased security. You've never encountered that before?

I am the person who posted this cry for help.
I have no recollection of any backup password. When i noted in my tech diary that i changed to fingerprint, there is no mention of a password - very unlike me. So i used EVERY PASSWORD that could possibly be it.
No, B. Diddy, i've never encountered that before. I've always been wary of such functions, after hearing a few horror stories.

Hi, welcome !
Do you have find my Samsung on?

You mean Find My Mobile, and no. That's the first thing every single person has suggested. If i had even known it existed and registered when i got the phone, i wouldn't have this problem.
The only new suggestion that's been made is to try the wrong password 20 times in a row, after which i will be asked to put in the google address and password associated with the phone. That was attempted a few times by others, but it occurs to me there is still one address that may work for that.
Really grasping at straws. But if this works, you will be hearing my screams from wherever you are.

Lol ..it's a long shot but definitely try it

That is pretty odd, because with fingerprint unlock, it's pretty standard to require the user to create that backup password. This is for practical reasons as well, in case the fingerprint sensor fails.
