Phone acts erratic when I plug my headphones in.

Essentially, whenever my headphones are plugged in (wireless or otherwise) my phone starts glitching out. It opens up google helper, changes the Youtube video I'm watching (even when it's in window mode), changes the volume, and pauses any audio as it pleases.

Welcome to Android Central! Are these headphones specifically "Made for iPhone"? Those can cause problems like what you're experiencing, because iPhone jacks are configured differently.

If the headphones are supposed to be universal, then make sure the headphone jack is clear of any debris -- use a can of compressed air to blow it out, and a toothpick to root around.
