    Just bought Moto z2 force. Love the phone so far, only one problem can't seem to be able to cast to my Roku from phone. I can see it in aps that have built in casting like YouTube, But for the regular cast it says no device available. Any suggestions.

    Usually supposed be a screen cast in pull down notification panel

    Roku is a casting source, not a casting user. So is the phone. You cast to a TV (not to an Android TV, to an actual TV set).

    I think I figured it out. I have two wifis in my house. For some reason I had my roku connected to my office WiFi and phone is on home WiFi. I guess the Google (YouTube) apps can see them even on other WiFi, but phone can not.

    Apps can see the internet, but local casting never goes out on the internet - it's casting device -> router -> TV. Casting device -> router the TV isn't connected to -> no TV on this router.
