I tried to transfer pictures via bluetooth from my phone (Vivo Y11) to my laptop. The transfer was successful but the pictures can't be opened on the laptop. As what I have observed, these pictures do not have the file extension .jpg on their file names unlike the other pictures taken by another phone model.

Welcome to Android Central! You can typically use Windows File Explorer to edit the filename and simply add ".jpg" to the end. Does that work?

Are you sure they're .jpg files and you didn't transfer thumbnails (which aren't .jpg files)? The file extension is handled as part of the file name - copying a file from a phone to a laptop wouldn't change part of the name.

Yeah, I just did that. I manually added .jpg to their filenames. But is there a way to automatically solve this problem? What if I transferred a lot of pictures? Doing manual renaming would take a lot of time.

As a workaround, have you tried a wi-fi file transfer solution, like AirDroid?

I thought it be easier if you signed into your Google account on the computer and pictures already there .

It's a Vivo, so I wonder if maybe it doesn't have Google services?

What I meant was that maybe it was intended for the Chinese market, which would mean no Google services.
