Hey google not working whilst driving

I'm unable to select the use of hey Google whilst driving. Just updated my android software

What device? What update just installed? Are you using Android auto? How are you trying to trigger assistant?

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean by "select the use of hey Google"? Are you saying that the phone doesn't respond at all when you say "Hey Google" while driving, but it does respond as soon as you stop driving?
