For a Sony Xperia phone: safe battery temperature

[Android Central Question]

Hi all,
I have a sony xperia xa1 phone and would like to know the minimun and maximun battery temperatures (in celcius) that are safe for the battery for prolonged use. Also, can a short time, such as an hour, at just above 40 degrees (celcius) damage the phone/battery?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
