Hi folks,

I'm tired of Android's slow user interface. I'd like to eventually code something better and faster... possibly in C++ using X Windows... we'll see.

BUT in the meantime I just need to build and install Linux from sources... including the drivers.

Is that even possible with the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer (TF101-A1?

Thanks.

Anything's possible - heck amazon did it. The question is - do you really want to mess with this? If the interface and lag is what you do not like - why start over - just build a new interface.

If you really want something Windows-based grab yourself a win8 tablet here in the next 6 months or so - then use that program on it that allows it to run Android apps on Windows machines to run the apps that you want.

If you have the knowledge of course you can. But think of all the variables you need to consider. Hardware addresses, interupts, memory management, etc. Remember, software is designed to run HARDWARE if you don't know the hardware, you can't write instructions for it..........
