.avi files will play on the Transformer tablet but not in windows.

I have a security camera that saves to a SD card. I removed the card and inserted it into my Asus Transformer TF101 with Android version 4.0.3. I can play all the .avi files that were recorded. I removed the card and placed in a Windows laptop running Vista. It will not play all the files. I then copied the files through the TF101 tablet to a USB drive and plugged it into a Windows 7 PC. It will not play the files either. I have used this camera many times and I have had no problems until now. This was the first time that I put the SD card into the TF101 before I placed it in a Windows PC. It is critical that I get these files to play because they are recording some punks breaking into my shop and I want these file to play correctly when I transfer them to the authorities.
