Trackpad use?

Can anyone comment on the usefulness of the trackpad on the keyboard dock?

Of the online videos I have seen. Nobody has used the trackpad when the EEE pad is docked. Does it give you a ?mouse pointer? to navigate the views? Is it only functional in applications that specifically support it? Etc.

I know the screen is touch sensitive, but when using it as a netbook docked to the keyboard, I?d prefer to have traditional mouse/keyboard support instead of having to reach up and touch the screen for all mouse movement.

I saw a video (can't remember where at the moment) that showed the use of the trackpad. There's a cursor, and I understand it's a bit small but usable. Apparently the trackpad supports multitouch, e.g., pinch-zoom.

Although I don't understand Italian, that's probably the best hands-on video review I've seen of the Asus Transformer yet. I like the high quality close ups of the keyboard dock and the tablet itself, and I like how he demo'ed the trackpad.
