Hangs up on page that says nook color

Now that I have rooted my nook and it does almost everything I want (except I still cannot purchase non market apps but I will work on that later) it has started hanging up if I turn it off and then turn it back on. It will go no further than the screen that says Nook Color. It gets to that point - Nook Color runs across the screen and then disappears, starts to come back across the screen and will get no further than the C and part of the O in color. It just hangs up. Amy suggestions on what to do?

Wish I saw this thread on Saturday. I spent the weekend resetting my NC two or three times before finding this on XDA. I can tell you one thing: I learned more about Android in the last two days than I learned in the last 9 months when I first got my phone.
