Which high end phone to get

I have the budget to get a new phone at the high end, and I know I'm going to need to make this last at least 2 years, and preferably three. I'm also hoping to get a chance to play around with some of the new technologies coming down the pike in the next couple of years, including to VR, so the screen needs to be some form of OLED, as LCD doesn't work well with what's available. I don't care about looks, as I always wind up putting my phone in a case.

I'm thinking about one of the Pixel 2 phones, LG v30, the Galaxy S8(+) or Note 8.

Which would you get, and why?

Im leaning heavilly towards the V30.
Quad-DAC, headphone jack, and expandable storage with minimalistic approach.
Pixel 2 & 2xl i like the support, 3 years, comes with oreo. But limited memory, no expansion, no headphone jack.
Samsung, i am purposely avoiding the brand because i want to be different from everyone at work.
