Chrome 72 casting volume adjustment annoyance

It looks like 72 took away the ability to remotely adjust the volume when casting to a device -- anyone else see this? When casting music to my Home Max from the Play Music website, I used to be able to adjust the volume on the Max by clicking the Cast icon and using the volume slider there. Now, when I click the Cast icon, all it shows is a list of devices available to cast to, with the Max showing as selected -- but no slider. (Using the native volume keys on the keyboard doesn't affect the Max volume at all.)

I sent feedback to Google about it.

EDIT: Just realized that the Play Music site's own volume slider does what I'm looking for, but it's still not very convenient, since the volume button is kind of tucked away. Would still be nice if the volume keys on the keyboard worked ...

Yes, the site's volume button works - on music, on YouTube, etc. (I don't like not having a menu bar.)
