Gboard keypress sound issue

Volume on keypress adjustment doesn't work. When I try to adjust the slider from default to anywhere between 1-100% volume, it always sounds the same on my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Only way I can change the keyboard keypress volume is by changing system volume...

It's not only happening on the S24 series, I've had the same issue on all Samsung phones!

same here. I think there's another thread on here pointing out the same thing. apparently, it's been a problem for years......Google's problem. I'm comfortably settled in with SwiftKey.

I moved this from the Marketplace Archives forum (not sure why it was there) to the S24 forum.

Wouldn't this still be played through the system volume setting for the phone? Perhaps turning up the volume for that would make the KB volume louder.

I don't really know anyone who prefers hearing any sound when typing so maybe it's not a big enough complaint for Google to fix.

They've fixed it. I wonder what others say about their other Samsung phones?! I can't believe it it took them maybe 6 years only. What about Gboard black screen on the Galaxy Watches?
