My BB storm had the capability of remembering my password for email, so when I call voicemail, it would enter my password automatically. Can android phones do that?

Re: Voicemail auto-password-fill-in possible on Android?

Go to Menu... Settings... Call Settings... Voicemail... Change it from *86 to.... *86,,,1234#

The comas are pauses... you can use only one if you want... its just the delay before it enters your password and 1234 would be whatever your password is.

hmm. I tried this, and it didn't work. It shows up like it takes, but when I call voicemail it doesn't enter my password. Any thoughts?

Try adding less or more commas (pauses) depending on how many you're using. Also try going to your contacts, an edit your voicemail to the same thing.

I have a thunderbolt and I used

*86,1234,,1

I added the 1 so I don't have to enter one each time to hear my voice mail. I didn't need the #sign at the end.

works great. Thanks for the help everyone.

This worked for me when I'm using my phone, but now I can't find the voice mail contact in my car. So I can't check my voice mail when my phone is connected to car contacts. It looks like as soon as I have anything more the *86 it does not show up on my car contacts.
