Just got Charge today

Went from fascinate to charge, am starting over from scratch what are good set-ups and going about rooting. I flashed the Voodoo Charge Kernel and not sure if I'm rooted heard voices booted just fine how do I tell and what wifi apps work for the Charge, tried barnacle and it was unsuccessful. Or is it not compatible with the VoodooChargeKernel4? I am waiting for the AlteredBeast file to download is this better and also wondered if I can just flash it now after doing VCK4? Also why is at the end an attached VoodooCharge_CWM file?

Also PC is now reading phone as CD-ROM...
