wi fi icon

I noticed when set on wifi the icon in task bar which used to be solid now flashes in the middle....WiFi seems to be working though.Has anyone else run into this?......Thanks

Are you seeing the two arrows? When data us being transferred the arrows will blink.

No....This is just on my wifi wave signal with 4g shut off....it always used to be just solid wave bars but all of a sudden there is a flashing break in the middle even after page is loaded

They are black arrows flashing for data being sent/received.

Is there any way to remove the WiFi icon when a new network is available? I already unchecked the box. What about the keyboard that says choose input method?

To remove the input option, you must limit yourself to one input (like I do):
Settings > Language & input > uncheck all input options except Android keyboard
