Caller has difficulty hearing me

My callers can hear me, but often struggle because what they are hearing is very soft. (I've looked at a few of my calller's phones and their speaker volume is up at a high level...so it's not on their end.) Is there a way the microphone (or speaker) can pick up my voice better in ICS? Can I shut something off or enhance the microphone somehow?

I keep having the same problem also. My callers are constantly saying they can't hear me even though I talk in a normal tone of voice. I feel like I have to raise my voice to an uncomfortable level for them to hear me. I've never had this problem with any other phone. Is anybody else having this problem? Is this a known issue with the RAZR MAXX? I've only had the phone for about 5 weeks now.

i thought it was just because i mumble lol. same thing here.... but i do mumble.
