Two emails... How do I get rid of the one?

I have the email app with the @ on it, then the gmail app for email. Both are linked to gmail so I get a "droiiiid" notification twice every time I get an email. Very annoying. I like the gmail one better. How do I get rid of the @ one or at least make it stop notifying me of new emails? I'd like to get rid of it to clean up my phone.
Not that this will matter if I get rid of it, but if you delete messages on the @ one, will it delete the messages in my actual gmail account? Or just on my phone?

Just go into the stock(the one with @) email and remove your Gmail account.

Exactly. I use the Gmail app for Gmail only with "push" selected. I use the stock app for several other email accounts without "push" that I prefer to check manually. This works well for me.

Remove the stock Gmail from Accounts and just use the enhanced Gmail. You will still have the blue Google icon to sync calendar, contacts, etc. The only drawback I see with this is that the enhance Gmail does not show up in the Combined email view.
