Hello all,

I have the Droid X phone and I am attempting to look at solar panel power. I see andriodcentral has two in the store.

and

Which one do you all prefer or have used? I often do not trust reviews because who is to say those were paid off reviews.

Unless there are other options outside of this store market. I just trust the AndroidCentral site because they are linked with Crackberry and other sites that I am familiar with.

Let me know if you dont mind.

Thank you!

Check out my solar charger. Suntactics.com

I too have been interested in a solar charger, and they're all pretty much the same except for the Sun Tactics. I like the fact that it's a pretty robust charger and you can get them a full charge in 3 hours! All the other ones like Amzer or Solio trickle charge an internal battery. Thanks for the link adsala, I'm seriously going to consider this because I live in a great place for solar!

You definitely want one with a battery, that way you can charge a battery and still wander around with your phone. The Suntactics one above looks like it's got a great set of cells, but I would have to pair it with an external battery.

I bought a $40 solar charger from Amazon, it appears that it can't push out enough juice to get my phones to recognize it. Lesson learned: cheaper is not better.

I just bought a $60 battery-only charger (uses a USB input to charge) - we'll see how that works. If it works well, maybe the Suntactics would be just the trick to have a bulky solar charger paired with a hefty but compact battery.
