Why can't we use stock gapps?

I'm pretty sure they have to be modified to work with our phone.

Ok so the LoS and Screenwakes are all atributed to the Gapps. The rom itself is solid.

Over in XDA. Some people still claim to have problems though. Go head over there and take a look so this thread keeps on point

Yeah I'm getting screen wakes. Just not as much and it has been deep sleeping just not as much as it should.. could very well be the gapps that is the issue DK care to try another shot at your own gapps?

I have DK gapps any absolutely no time in deep sleep :/

I also just got an SOD, sadly.

i was on one of his previous jb roms from like last week, would i have to just start from scratch with a total wipe (data, cache, dalvik)?

dont wanna wipe data if not necessary :/

The gapps is the cause for all these issues. 95% Sure

You should format everything before flashing.

Hey Dark, even though it would be a shame to lose, can you make a version of gapps that doesn't include google now for us to test? Not sure if that is possible but I was reading that google now could be the heart of the problem.
