MMS didn't transfer from iPhone to Pixel

Just noticed that photos/videos/etc MMS didn't transfer from iPhone to Pixel, only text SMS. Is this normal? Didn't find an answer on Google.

Where they truly MMS or were they sent via iMessages? Since iMessages handles media differently they probably won't transfer since they don't conform to MMS standard. An app meant to handle regular messaging won't be able to import iMessages media because they don't genetically match. So to speak. iMessages doesn't have the size restrictions that regular messaging does and even high res pics have a hard time being transferred over MMS.

iMessage was enabled so guess it's that. At least it's backed up. I used the Quick Switch Adapter.
