Only the first outward call was logged. After that nothing ... neither inward nor outward calls are logged. Searched the web but none of the solutions offered like clearing the phone cache or deleting the phone data worked
It may look something like my attached screenshot.
I'm the meantime, are you using a third party launcher, like Nova or Windows launcher?
Are you using any services that would give you a second phone number, like Google Voice or Tango?
Are you using WhatsApp or anything that doesn't use your carrier number for calls?
From the "Recent" screen are you able to view your call timers? On my device I have to be on that screen and then press the menu button to view my timers and you may have to do the same. How much call time has been recorded?

Hi
As I have already explained to VidJunky the Recent section is always empty i.e it doesn't show any outgoing, incoming and missed calls. The other sections accessible from the Phone screen (Favorites, Contacts) work fine. There is nothing available from the Phone menu that let's me change anything affecting the call history.
Best regards
I suspected that you were looking at the correct things but just wanted to be sure you knew what we were talking about. From our side, we cannot be sure what is being checked and/or where people are looking or checking these things. Occasionally we have to be specific to be sure we're all on the same page, no offence meant.
You didn't answer any of my questions however, launcher?, service?, other calling methods?, timers? Again all just be sure we're all talking about the same thing and looking at the right problem the right way.
I thought I had answered all those questions by saying that I haven't used anything that is not part of Android 11 and my service provider is on the Telstra network which is Australia's biggest. And the phone was advertised as having the stock Android 11 installed.
Please let me know if you need more screenshots or other info. Thanks a lot
Go to Settings>Apps, select Phone, then Permissions. Do you see a permission for Call Logs, and if so, is it turned on?
Also try clearing your phone app data then force stop it , to do that long press the phone app then tap info and go to storage.
Also the force stop ?I mentioned that I already tred this procedure in my first or second post. I have done it once more but with the same result![]()
You tried this in safe mode also?
Did you restore your phone from a older back up?
