Weird Text messages sent to contacts

One of my friends who is listed in my contacts keeps getting these weird text messages from my phone number yet I am not sending these text messages the words in theses text messages are unreadable I'm not sure what the problem is.

It's called a virus. Phones get them too. And there are anti-virus apps for android phones. Look in the market. (The free name brands - like Avast - are just as good as the paid "Joe's garage" ones.)
