Hi,
I have a Motorola Droid X2 and am about to get a new phone.
The X2 GPS is fine for my hiking needs so I'd like to keep that feature
if possible.
My question...when I move to a new phone, can the old one (Droid X2)
still be used for the non-telephone applications that I have installed,
specifically the GPS or is everything deactivated?
No doubt I'll put everything back on the new phone but if I could
leave the new one at home and only use the old one for hiking
that would be great.

Thanks
Michael Grady

It has to be connected to some form of wifi for the GPS to work if its deactivated. So it wouldn't work for hiking if its the only device you plan on taking.
