This is my first post and need some help with my EVO I have it rooted and the battery dies quicker than it does before it was rooted any way I can save battery I do have an extended battery on it now and seems to help some. Another question is how can I get rid of the lock screen that you have to pull down to unlock the phone.

Just rooting does nothing to your battery. The culprit lies elsewhere.

You can try nolock from the market to get rid of the lockscreen
