fighting with bluetooth volumes

So i have a LG Tone+730 headset, and i feel like im fighting with 3 diffrent volume controls on the Droid Razr HD, (my first andorid phone)

anyone have a suggestion on how best to control the volume when dealing with bluetooth, via the player app? the phone volume controls? the headset? none of the controls seem to be insync
