I want to view the full version of my local newspaper's website, baltimoresun.com. Everytime I go there it defaults to their mobile site. Is there any way to change the browser settings to have it default to the full version of websites?

When I had my BlackBerry, which has a horrible browser, I could have it ID the browser as the mobile BB browser or Internet Explorer or Firefox, which would make websites load their full versions, not the desktop ones.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks, I'm using the stock browser on my new Droid X. And that setting doesn't exist.

I'd suggest using a non-stock browser that allows you to set the user agent. IIRC, you can change the user agent on the stock browser but it's not a permanent change.

Alternately, if you can find an explicit URL to the full site you might be able to bookmark it.

On most mobile web pages you can scroll to the bottom of the page and there will be a link to view the full page.

Download Dolphin HD from market, and change the user agent to Desktop. That will work just fine =)
