I'm a newby w/ android. I read all the reviws and went w/ the new HTC 3d EVO. I love it except I miss my old slide keyboard. It's a pain getting used to the screen type.

There are third party keyboards that work great compared to the stock virtual keyboard. Swiftkey is one and has a free beta for the newest keyboard they are working on. Go to their website and look for the Swiftkey X VIP Beta program. Swype is another good one...it's in Beta so you'll need to sign up to use it.
There are many other good ones...look through the Application forums and see the keyboard thread (I think there is one created).
Is there a way on Android to scroll to the top of a page? Like iPhone you touch the top & blackberry you push a certain button, just wondering....it would be really helpful

Flick down on the screen and the page screams to the top.
I Have rooted my HTC Evo 3D phone and have tethered wifi, the problem is i sign in and I get connected but without internet access. Need a solution. The specific message i get is "Activating WiFi interface... failed"

I'd just like to point out that the black background to save battery only works for AMOLED, Super AMOLED, and Super AMOLED Plus screens because of their ability to turn off individual pixels to display "true black" on the screen.
This does not work for any other type of screen. I think this should be noted in the sticky for those with OLED screens.

Hello Android community. I am on my 2nd Android. Just got a new Samsung Charge and I love it. My previous phone was a Motorola Droid 1. This one is so much faster and 4G with an amazing display plus 32gb of memory is not bad.

gmail is just an email program that in my opinion is great. you can have it grab all your emails from different accounts so you can read them in one program on yoru phone, that is what i do and it's spam filter is the best i have seen. you can elimiante any unwanted emails from going to your phone by sending them to spam this way you will only receive what you want to see on your phone and leave the rest for your desktop etc.
I read that on the OP that the battery really isnt charged at 100% so i did the charge to a 100 and unplug and then recharge and then i unplugged it and recharged it again and i still got the red light even after the replug. this doesnt make any sense to me so its never fully charged?
I heard that if its at 100 and the you unplug replug that it just lets it die to 95% and then starts charging
I read that this is done intentionally so the battery will not overcharge like a sort of protection thing? I don't know if that is true but just what I have read.
