Getting Started with Android - Tips and Tricks

Is there a way on Android to scroll to the top of a page? Like iPhone you touch the top & blackberry you push a certain button, just wondering....it would be really helpful

That is a question for the EVO 3D Hacking forum.

I'd just like to point out that the black background to save battery only works for AMOLED, Super AMOLED, and Super AMOLED Plus screens because of their ability to turn off individual pixels to display "true black" on the screen.

This does not work for any other type of screen. I think this should be noted in the sticky for those with OLED screens.

Thanks. I added this: "On LED displays, black wallpaper takes less power."

It is still true that, "Also, bright colored wallpaper makes it harder to read icon labels so you tend to turn up brightness."

Hello Android community. I am on my 2nd Android. Just got a new Samsung Charge and I love it. My previous phone was a Motorola Droid 1. This one is so much faster and 4G with an amazing display plus 32gb of memory is not bad.

Can ANDROID email without GMAIL?
Why do we need GMAIL to EMAIL?

What is the pros and cons of GMAIL

Thank you

gmail is just an email program that in my opinion is great. you can have it grab all your emails from different accounts so you can read them in one program on yoru phone, that is what i do and it's spam filter is the best i have seen. you can elimiante any unwanted emails from going to your phone by sending them to spam this way you will only receive what you want to see on your phone and leave the rest for your desktop etc.

I read that on the OP that the battery really isnt charged at 100% so i did the charge to a 100 and unplug and then recharge and then i unplugged it and recharged it again and i still got the red light even after the replug. this doesnt make any sense to me so its never fully charged?
I heard that if its at 100 and the you unplug replug that it just lets it die to 95% and then starts charging

I read that this is done intentionally so the battery will not overcharge like a sort of protection thing? I don't know if that is true but just what I have read.
