Can I be alerted when event is added to shared calendar?

I use Google calender and share it with my wife.

Quite often she'll add an event and I won't know.

Is there a way to be notified when a new event is added to a shared calender?

Go to Google Calendar

Drop down Other Calendars and go to Settings.

Go to your wife's calendar and click Reminders and Notifications. Check the boxes you want the notifications for - changed, canceled, etc. You can only get an email or SMS at this time - no notification without one of them.
