Where are these smileys coming from?

where are these smileys coming from?!

I keep getting what appear to be Facebook smileys as well as pictures of various cartoon characters (mainly dogs and monkeys). Every time I bulk delete them from my Gallery they just reappear again a day later.

Only way to bulk delete them is by viewing Galley timeline.

File path for each image is:
Storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.f

This is all I can see when looking at each pictures details in Gallery.

I've got AVG and Malwarbytes, both aren't picking them up as threats.

They are just really annoying to keep just downloading in to my phone!

Any help will be gratefully received.

Any app that downloads a picture (like a web browser) to a location not hidden from the Media Scanner will have the picture show up in Gallery. Some "developers" know more than others, I guess. I've seen loads of podcast pictures in Gallery - and that's wrong too.
