Does using the phone as a GPS everyday spoil the phone?

I am a delivery driver and I use my Samsung S4 map as a gps everyday. I am wondering the screen is continuously on for 9 hours a day, 5-6 days a week, will it cause any harm or spoil the phone?

After using for some hours, the phone screen feels hot.

Everything has a life span and devices are no exception. Devices have a life span dependig on usage and time. So, I think the more you use your device the lesser the life span. Your device gets hot because of the processor or some other components at work. I think you should use it within set hours say check the map, record the next two or three landmarks with your brain, then let it rest for sometime. or you could buy a device strictly for GPS.

Am using it on NOte 4 . Using Waze to the specific , it gets a lil warm but thats about it nothing like too hot or something.
