How to check if latest version upated received warning message to update

Warning message said battery severely overcharged, now battery charging very slow. then two days later, warning message said low storage spaspace update to latest version using Google playstore ,.so following the steps message said device incompatible with This device. What version do I use to update

Welcome to Android Central! Which device do you have, and what is telling you to update? Which app in the Google Play Store did you get directed to? Most of the time, messages like that are from bogus adware--someone may just be trying to get you to install a useless (and possibly malicious) app.
