My phone thinks headphones are connected..but they are not..how can I stop this?

My phone thinks headphones are connected...but they are not...

I accidentally dropped my phone in a sink of water and since then, although other functions seem ok, it seems to think that it has headphones connected to it - and I therefore can't hear anything when trying to make calls. Is there anywhere in the settings I can tell it it hasn't got headphones attached? Would appreciate any help. Thank you.

I don't think there is. You can try the headphones connected app but I don't know if it will work. The best thing to do would be to keep your phone in a bag of rice every night when it isn't used to see if it can absorb any and all moisture out of the phone and hopefully correct itself. If not after a few nights of it being in a bag of rice if it is still doing it see if plugging in a pair of headphones and unplugging it fixes the issue.
