Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean that you want to use a song you purchased from Google Play Music as a ringtone? In order to do that, you have to download the music track on your computer, not on the phone. Go to Google Play Music on your computer browser, select the music track, and download it to the computer. Then transfer the music file to the phone via USB connection, into the Ringtones folder. It should now be available as an option when you go to the ringtones selection menu.
