I was using iPhone 5 until yesterday when my repaired Sony arrived.

I switched the SIM out of my iPhone into my Sony.

Today, I sent an SMS message to a friend (obviously from the Sony) ... It wasn't until 2 hours later I saw my iPhone (with no active SIM) with 2 reply messages from my friend.

How can my SMS messages get diverted to my iPhone (no SIM) and never reach my Sony (My active SIM)???

Thanks for that. I guess I had a strong suspicion that was it BUT what I moreso wanted to understand is how can apple hijack messages like that? It seems like quite a large security gap? Without a SIM card, an apple phone can still override your default phoen settings?
