Galaxy s6 - my phone is on mute, so my timer doesn't sound with the clock?

I have just recently updated from s5 to s6.
I always mute my phone. On the s5, when I used the built in CLOCK app with TIMER, the timer would sound when in use (and the time was up), EVEN THOUGH my phone was ON MUTE. This is exactly what I wanted and liked about the CLOCK APP.

With the S6, it doesn't do that. If the phone is ON MUTE, the TIMER will not sound. How can I fix this issue without resorting to a 3rd party app?
NOTE : I am talking about the TIMER, not the ALARM

I guess some people (maybe a lot of people) complained that the timer didn't get muted on the S5, so they "fixed" it on the S6. The only software that works exactly the way you want it to work is software you develop yourself.
