Saved contact info not showing on incoming calls

Did the recent system update and now only phone numbers show up on the caller ID for my saved contacts. I can't see their name or pic that I have saved in my phone. Anyone else having this problem? I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know and I don't remember all of my contacts' numbers by heart so this issue is annoying!

Welcome to Android Central! This probably isn't the case, but go to Settings>Apps​, select Phone, then Permissions, and make sure it has Contact permission turned on.

S8 Active does not have a "phone" app in settings (or anywhere that I could find). Any other suggestions?

Yes, I have all permissions set appropriately. My husband has the same phone and after the update his is doing the same thing. Any other auggestions?

It might be called Dialer. Or tap Menu when you're in Settings>Apps​, then tap Show System.

I'd try a cache partition wipe. Which phone do you have?

My husband and I also both have Galaxy S8 actives and out of the blue earlier this past week we no longer see a name when someone is calling us, just their phone number. No recent apps installed, I've doubled checked the permissions and have done the partition wipe. Still not working. Any suggestions or known fixes?
