How do I change an android from PND in windows to a drive?

Working with an android gps device using a ZTENG ZT502 processor. I am trying to wipe all the info on the GPS and reload with better software. But, when I connect to window it only shows as a PND device. In Apple and Linuz, it only shows as a CD drive and I cant format it, or erase it.

If it's not written to show as USB storage, you can't do it with a PC - regardless of the OS on the PC. The fact that it uses Linux (the OS in Android) and Android running in it doesn't mean that you can access it from a PC. (Android is open source - the PNA [or PND if you wish] developer could have simply used parts of Android, but not the MTP or PTP part.)

Contact the the PNA developer to see if they'll tell you how to access it.
