Hi everyone.
I just picked up a sgs2 skyrocket, amazing phone. However I notice these darker blobs all over the screen if im in a very dark area and looking at images that have heavy blacks. Once im back in the light the spots are gone abd the black images look perfect... I read about Amoled and it seems normal, they aren't dead pixles. I notice it anytime there is no external light and the room is very dark. But its gone once the light is turned on. Its also annoying if watching videos at night. I guess thats how amoled works though right?
Thanks

Yes. It's called black crush. Basically, the color gamut of AMOLED is higher than the source material, so colors at the "edge" of the range of the source get crushed. So really dark grays look black instead of dark gray. You're probably seeing the display trying to differentiate between dark gray and black, but what you really get is black, and blacker black. :p
