I was just poking at my stock Nexus 4 today and discovered a feature I'd never noticed: on the lock screen audio controls, if you press above the control buttons (where the media info and app icon are) for about a half-second, the media info fades out and you get a seek bar. So far I've tested it with Pocket Casts and Play Music.
Not exactly change your life stuff, I know, but nifty nevertheless. I just wondered if anyone knows when this became a thing: has it been there the whole time and I never noticed it, or was it introduced sometime after the basic lock screen control buttons (play/pause, forward, backward)? Further, is this a Nexus/GPE thing, or do skinned versions of Android have something similar?
