Google play store error 491 How to fix?

Go to settings>apps (application manager) and tap on Google play store.... Then click disable and then "OK". Then finally you are going to enable it again... This is garenteed to work and your welcome

Welcome to the forums. I am curious as to why this works. I am not saying you are wrong; just wondering what this series of actions does to clear the error code.

it seems to be a bug with the google play store, but usually you would have to clear the data to get rid of most of them but this one is stubborn and disabling it will uninstall the current updates and bring it back to default but you wold have to enable to use it

You will need to do the following:
Open Settings
Go to Apps
Scroll down to Google Pay Services and open it
Clear data and cache
Do the same thing for the Google Play Store
Restart your phone
Open Google Play Store, let it sync, and you should be able to download whatever app was giving you
