Fingerprint scanner battery drain?

Curious how much battery does the FPS drain?... generally speaking? has anyone noticed significant battery improvements with the FPS disabled?

Are you on a Galaxy Note 4 by any chance?
I used to notice a slight drop in battery with it when using FPS in early Marshmallow builds.

With my S7 Edge there is no difference, battery is great with or without FPS.

No noticeable drain on my Pixel XL.

I suppose it depends on which device you are using, but I cannot be sure. I haven't noticed any drain/anything suspicious on my Honor 8.

I think older phones on older Android versions would have had a bit of drain, but newer devices e.g. made between 2015 and now would probably not show any difference as the biometric tech got faster and more frugal and better support in the Android OS itself.
