Nexus 4 running hot and battery draining

In the past 36 hours my Nexus 4 has started running hot and the battery drains in about 3 hours with no use. I have powered it off a few times but this does not help. The device is so hot it is uncomfortable to hold. Prior to this event it has been fine.

Have you checked under Running Apps to see if you have any rogue apps acting up?

Sounds like some app is running rampant. At the worst, I'd just do a factory reset.

Run the phone in safe mode to see if its your phone or just an app

Same thing is happening to me with the same timeline! Wtf?
