Hello
I have this phone too and I had a lot of other problems with it, one of them was this one which you guys are talking about, when I called the support this particular issue solved by doing this steps:
-turn off the phone
- connect it to the charger (original charger )
- hold BOTH volume keys and then hold power button ( don't let go the other buttons hold all together)
- wait till see android logo with some text and arrow on the top says "start"
- now use volume down and up buttons to go on "recovery" option
- once you got that option press power button to start process
- this will do a hard reset on your phone but it will not delete anything
- now after the process is complete your phone will boot normally and this fix the battery issue and also proximity sensor issue
