Nexus 4 in-call volume problem

I am having problems with the in-call volume of my Nexus 4. Say I have it at 4/5, it will remain at this for a while, however, it does not maintain this setting. When I answer a subsequent phone call, the in-call volume will have reset itself to 2/5. It is quite annoying answering a phone call, not quite hearing the person on the other side and then having to manually increase the volume again. I actually returned my 1st Nexus 4, however, this problem is now occurring on my replacement phone as well. Would anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing this problem before I contact Google again. I tried the phone with no apps installed, apart from those already pre-installed and the problem still occurs. Also, I have not made any adjustments to the OS of the Nexus 4. Thanks for any help!

Jersey Even i have the same problem i.e the cal volume sets itself to 2/5 from 5/5.
I tried updating the software but its of no use...

Hi All...

I just got my nexus 4 yesterday with stock android 4.2.2

It is not rooted

The in call speaker volume is very very low...

Also, the ring tone volume is very low..

Other than that I love my phone..

Please help..
