Has anyone found a fix for the choppy mic issue?

I was hoping that this would have been fixed by the 4.4.2 update, but it wasn't, at least not on my phone. It's not killing me, because I use a headset for almost all calls, but it sucks when I'm nut plugged in. I'm wondering if this is something that can be fixed via a software update, or if I just need to RMA the phone?

i still sometimes get complaints that people can't hear me when i use built in mic. i think there may be an issue with the noise cancellation software.

From other threads I've read, that definitely seems to be the issue. I'm just wondering if it's something that a software update can fix, or if your phone is screwed if you have the problem?

i dont use my phone to make calls much but so far, nobody has mention anything like that to me. nor do i have issues hearing the other person.
