Google Play Store - Background Data Error Message

Hi. I occasionally get an error message on my Nexus 6 stating that background data is off and Google Play Store requires that it be active. I checked and background data is not restricted and all my apps are being updated with no issues. Any ideas?

What version of Android are you running?

I am running 6.01 with the March update. I think I've isolated the problem. I think it is related to the Battery Saver coming on when Google Play Store is updating my apps. I will do some testing to confirm my suspicions.
